David Bowie

David Robert Jones nació en Londres el 8 de enero de 1947 y murió en Nueva York el 10 de enero de 2016. 



He was an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, arranger, painter, and actor


Bowie no tenía cada ojo de un color. Los dos son del mismo, pero en uno la pupila se le quedó permanentemente dilata después de una pelea poor una chica en su colegio de Bromley High School.

Su compañero de clase George Underwood le pegó un puñetazo que le dejó el ojo derecho dañado para siempre, a pesar de operarle unas cuantas veces durante cuatro meses.

Awards and recognition 

- The song "Space Oddity" won him an Ivor Novello Special Award For Originality. 

- He won a Saturn Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 1976 science fiction film The Man Who Fell to Earth.

- In the ensuing decades: two Grammy Awards and three BRIT Awards.

- In 1999, Bowie was made a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government and he received an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music the same year.
